VSA and Philippe Le Fallier

If you would like to talk more with Le Fallier…

The Vietnamese Students Association (VSA) will be hosting him on Thursday night for a film and following discussion on the legacy of French colonialism in Vietnam. We’ve invited the Vietnamese student body at Duke and UNC as well as local Vietnamese  community members to this event. There will be Vietnamese sandwiches (a French baguette that has been fully Vietnamized with delicious effect).

Event: Legacy of French Colonialism in Vietnam
Date/Time: THIS Thursday, April 1st, 4:30-7pm
Where: Multicultural Center (Bryan Center Basement– Parking Available)

From 4:30-6pm, we will be watching THE REBEL — a Vietnamese-directed martial arts blockbuster. There are some pretty epic kicks in this film — it’s also a very interesting take on French colonialism and Vietnamese insurgency.
