Painting of Don Vappie by Jane Lovett Holt
Don Vappie is one of New Orlean’s most remarkable musician, who has recovered and performed largely forgotten French Creole music and played on Otis Taylor’s CD Recapturing the Banjo. Having performed here last year in Duke Performances, he returns to Duke to discuss and perform his music.
