WEEKLY UPDATE: 4/9/23

Last Friday both travel teams attended a concrete workshop to help them be prepared for what to expect during their projects. We also have some important updates from our projects! The Uganda team is currently working on calculations for the final design of the secondary school in CEE315, Engineering Sustainable Development. The final presentation of their design will be on May 5th. The eSwatini team finished the bridge design, which got approved for construction by Engineers in Action this past week! The bridge design has a 122 meter span. Huge shoutout to Design Managers Franny Lee and Emily Hallock for their hard work! The team also recently submitted Review Call 3, which includes detailed information about construction schedule, safety protocols, and logistics information. They will present their information next Wednesday, April 12 to Engineers in Action staff and Bridge Corps, professional engineers that will travel with the student team in the summer.
