What has your involvement with DEID looked like?
I’m part of the design team and cultural relations manager. Thus far I have worked on the geometric design.
Why are you a part of DEID?
I am a part of DEID as I want to help communities have access to necessary resources and thrive without being limited due to their location. I also want to learn more about different communities around the world and how they live their lives. I traveled abroad with my high school during senior year and I was amazed and enamored with the cultural differences and how much this made me grow as a person and change my perspectives.
What you are most excited for about your project or DEID?
Traveling to country and connecting with the community.
Fun Fact
I was born in El Salvador and moved to the US when I was 7 years old.
