Japo, Bolivia 2022

In the summer of 2022, 7 Duke undergraduates (Sarah Bailey, Saathvik Boompelli, Olivia Fox, Emily Hallock, Anya Dias-Hawkins, Ezra Melaku, and Spencer Schutz) partnered with students from the University of Southern Indiana to work with Engineers in Action’s Bridge Program to design and implement a 105 m long pedestrian footbridge in Japo, Bolivia.
