What has your involvement with DEID looked like?
I have been Co-Project Manager for our West Virginia and Uganda Teams my freshman and sophomore year, and now I am one of DEID’s Co-Presidents!
Why are you a part of DEID?
DEID for me is a community of amazing students who are passionate about understanding the ethical impacts of their work in the real world. Our club helps to foster their shared interest and technical skills on projects that help communities all over.
What you are most excited for about your project or DEID?
I’m most excited to help mentor our younger students both tecnically and as leaders within our club that I know they are more than capable of. Our projects are very unique and large in scale, so it’s exciting to get to pass the torch to students that I have watched grow in their leadership skills within the last few years.
