The Heritage Lab: About

The Heritage Lab serves as a collaborative platform for research, teaching, and curation at the intersection of heritage, memory, and empathy. Our projects bring together faculty, students, and external partners to explore how heritage functions as a site of ethical engagement and public history. The Heritage Lab will curate exhibitions, develop digital humanities tools, and organize events that highlight transnational memory networks, displacement, and ecological change. Current initiatives already in planning include a collaborative curation with the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra and research on museums and heritage to support the UNESCO “Museums as Transnational Heritage Hubs” grant. There will be future opportunities for students to contribute directly to curatorial research, data collection, and public engagement through the Heritage Lab.
