Infusions of Thought: Exploring Tea, Embodiment, and Intercultural Learning: About

Infusions of Thought is a reading-and-discussion-based event series that transforms Chinese tea culture into a “living classroom” for philosophical reflection and intercultural exchange. Through three thematic sessions—each combining close reading and dialogue with embodied practices such as tea meditation, tastings, and a hands-on workshop—the project invites participants to explore embodiment and mindfulness, global histories of tea exchange, and contemporary reinterpretations of tradition. An optional field trip to a tea plantation further connects cultural symbolism with ecological and social realities. By integrating text and practice, the series fosters inclusive, experiential learning across cultures at DKU.
