Join the Humanities Research Center Team!

We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented student workers to support the Humanities Research Center (HRC). In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in event planning, project coordination, social media, and administrative support while contributing to the success of HRC programs and initiatives.

Open Positions

1. Student Photographer (2 positions)

Responsibilities:

o Capture and edit high-quality photos and visual content for HRC events, programs, and exhibitions.

o Document key moments, speakers, and activities to support HRC communications and storytelling.

o Organize and archive event photos for promotional and record-keeping purposes.

Requirements:

o Experience with photography, digital cameras, and basic photo editing tools preferred.

o Strong attention to detail with an eye for composition and visual storytelling.

o Reliable, organized, and able to work independently during events.

2. Social Media Assistant (1 position)

Responsibilities:

o Support HRC’s international social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram), including content creation, scheduling, and publishing.

o Develop engaging posts featuring HRC events, research, and program highlights.

o Assist with creating visual and written materials to  enhance HRC’s online presence.

Requirements:

o Strong writing and communication skills in English.

o Familiarity with social media platforms and basic  content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) preferred.

o Creative, detail-oriented, and interested in  humanities, arts, research, or academic programming.

3. Administrative Assistant (3 positions)

Responsibilities:

o Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing HRC  events and programs.

o Support event logistics, documentation, communications,  and daily administrative tasks.

o Maintain records and provide operational support for  HRC projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

o Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

o Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the HRC team.

o Proficient in Microsoft Office and Canva, with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

General Qualifications (All Positions):

o Current DKU undergraduate student with good academic standing.

o Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work collaboratively.

o Availability to work approximately 15–40 hours per month.

o Prior experience in event management, communications, photography, or administration is a plus.
