The Pratt Peers Student Support Network (Pratt Peers) is a student-led support network committed to fostering a culture of care, connection, and well-being among engineering graduate students. As trained peer listeners and mentors, Pratt Peers empower fellow students to navigate the academic, social, and emotional aspects of graduate life with confidence and resilience.
In partnership with the Student Engagement & Support team, Pratt Peers lead wellness initiatives, community-building events, and one-on-one outreach that promote mental health awareness, resource access, and meaningful peer connection.
Our Mission
To cultivate a community of care, connection, and well-being among engineering master’s students by providing peer support, mentorship, and access to wellness resources.
Our Vision
We envision a supportive and inclusive Pratt community where every engineering master’s student feels heard, valued, and empowered to thrive.
Pratt Peers aspires to be a trusted, student-driven network that promotes belonging, normalizes help-seeking, and cultivates a foundation of care and compassion within and beyond the graduate student experience.
The staff advisor to the Pratt Peers Student Support Network is Dr. Xiaoyan Hu.
