Selena, a licensed Mechanical Engineer from the Philippines, is a Master of Engineering student at Duke Pratt School of Engineering with research interests in clean energy and environmental policy. Previously, she volunteered for the Large Marine Vertebrates Research Institute (LAMAVE) where she spent four months collecting baseline data on local sea turtle population in Apo Island, Philippines. Her professional background also includes extensive experiences in the government, academia, private, and non-profit sectors. She is passionate about solving environmental challenges and intends to use her technical background and policy experience to work on a sustainable solution.
