Advanced Practice Providers (APP) often work on the front lines of health care, they are very familiar with the daily challenges that their patients face and can provide unique perspectives on better ways to provide health care. From resourceful innovations to time-saving procedures, APPs can innovate to improve patient health and well-being. The complexity of technology, knowledge and services in today’s health care environment makes effective collaboration between APPs and their health care colleagues essential. Today’s health care is multidimensional and so must be its management.
Duke APPLI will deepen participants’ leadership capabilities to be more relational, courageous, community-engaged, equity-centered, emergent and equipped for an increasingly complex, fast-moving sector. Through its rich training content, Duke APPLI offers healthcare teams innovative and integrated training in the areas of leadership, management, communications, advocacy, DEI (Diversity Equity and Inclusion) promotion, business and financial acumen, and project management and evaluation.
This one-year experiential leadership development program will train APPs (Advanced Practice Nurses, Physician Assistants and other non-physician providers who have graduate-level education and training) and their team members to be health equity leaders who thrive in interprofessional teams and are able to lead transformational projects to improve the health of patients, resiliency of providers, efficacy of health care systems, and strength of communities. We invite you to join us on this exciting journey.
