Duke Microbiome Center announces two new funding opportunities

The Duke Microbiome Center (DMC) is pleased to announce two new requests for applications (RFA) with deadlines later this spring 2021.  The deadline for both RFAs is early May, 2021, and each award is up to $60K in direct costs for up to 1 year. Please note that a given application may only be submitted to one of these RFAs.

First, the DMC has reissued its DMC Development Grant RFA to support interdisciplinary and collaborative research projects in the microbiome sciences at Duke University. This RFA has been issued by the DMC each spring for the last several years. The deadline is May 1, 2021. Second, the DMC has partnered with the Duke Center For AIDS Research (CFAR) to issue a CFAR-DMC Development Grant RFA that that is intended to foster new inter-center collaborations. The purpose of this funding opportunity is to support research aimed at elucidating the interplay between the microbiome and immune responses relevant to HIV-1, AIDS, or AIDS-related opportunistic infections and malignancies. Though the final deadline for this RFA is May 3, 2021, please note that a letter of intent must be submitted for this RFA by Friday, April 16, 2021.
