Dr. Neil Surana wins 2019 Hartwell Individual Biomedical Research Award

Congratulations to Dr. Neil Surana on his receipt of the 2019 Hartwell Individual Biomedical Research Award. This award will support work in Dr. Surana’s lab developing bacteria-based therapies for the inflammatory bowel diseases. Dr. Surana was recruited to the Duke University School of Medicine in 2018 through a partnership between the Duke Microbiome Center, the Duke Department of Pediatrics, and the Duke Children’s Health & Discovery Institute.
