– Easier access to DMC shared resources including Microbiome Core, Gnotobiotic Core, and grant/manuscript preparation assistance through DMC Bioinformatics/Biostatistics working group.
– Inclusion in a growing microbiome research community focused on improving collaborative work across campus.
Application Process:
1.) Faculty candidates will submit a brief description of how their research fits within the microbiome space (1-2 paragraphs), in addition to an updated CV and headshot photo, which will be used in faculty spotlight on Microbiome Center’s Faculty webpage.
2.) DMC Leadership team will review these documents and work with the candidate to prepare a brief introductory presentation video (or to schedule an in-person presentation at one of the DMC’s quarterly faculty meetings).
These presentations are geared toward introducing new DMC members to existing faculties to help facilitate communication, networking, and potential collaborative project development. (Imagine a 10-15 minute talk outlining your background and research interests that can be shared on your faculty profile).
3.) Upon completion/publication of this presentation, membership will be confirmed by DMC Leadership team.
