Research Project: My work focuses on combating the antibiotic resistance crisis using prodrugs. I am interested in designing scaffolds which selectively target bacterial resistant enzymes to induce cell death. My project lies at the interface of organic synthesis and chemical biology where I use techniques ranging from column chromatography to cell microdilution assays. Personal Bio: I’m an avid runner who loves spending time outdoors hiking and exploring with my pups. I also enjoy reading romance and fantasy novels. Family is everything to me, and I’m always up for good food, great company, and making the most of life’s little adventures. |
