B.S. Biology; Duke University

Research Project: I am working with Francesca Vaccaro (Ph.D.) and Chinakazi (undergrad) investigating copper homeostasis in the opportunistic fungal pathogen Candida albicans. Specifically, I am characterizing the metal binding and localization of superoxide dismutase 1, an enzyme that we hypothesize is involved in signaling a copper stress response in this fungus.

Personal Bio: I’m originally from the western half of the U.S.. but made my way to the East Coast to come to Duke. When I am not studying I have fun watching musicals, going to sporting events, and walking around Duke and Durham.
