All new trainees will receive 2 monogrammed white coats. Your white coats will include monogramming, All monograms will include first name, last name, and credentials. This will be paid by the division. Payment arrangements are made ahead of time in March-April for the incoming year.

Prior to GME orientation, you will receive an email from Natasha Ray at the Medical Center Bookstore to order 1 “loaner” white coat. This will not include monogramming and will be picked up at  GME orientation.

All transferring and continuing trainees can order new white coats though Marianne Drexler between Aug 1 – Dec 31.

● Need to be fitted for a new size coat? Visit the Duke Medical Center Bookstore (basement level of Duke South, next to parking and ID badge office). You can try on coats for appropriate sizing and then place your order online.

If you need alterations, Prime Cleaners by Northgate Mall can alter your coats for a fee.

Laundering Service

The division has an agreement with Laundrymen service for a bi weekly pick up from MSRBII Room 1007.

Drop off coats in the orange laundry bag located in the MSRBII 1st floor suite, Room 1007 (next to Dr. Wolf’s office)

Pick ups are done every other Wednesday and returned that Friday with laundered and pressed jackets.

This drop off is specific for trainees only.
