EPIC Reports Tool

  1. Open Maestro and click the EPIC tab (red, upper left) > Reports > My Reports > choose “Library” from vertical tabs on left
  2. On Library page, find search bar on top and search for “IP Notes”
  3. Find result called “IP Notes <Service Area>” and click “New Report”
  4. Edit the criteria of your new report with the following selections:
    1. Search Base: select “My Notes” and also “Notes with date of service during report time frame” (make sure logic is set to AND)
    2. Edit date range at top to include the the time period you are interested in (I found it easiest to do 1-week or 2-week blocks)
    3. Make sure Report Logic is set to AND
    4. Save the report if you want to
  5. Run report (this should return all notes that you wrote at Duke during a specified time period)
  6. Repeat as needed for different time periods (You may need to do this for every week that you were on Acutes or Floors for your 1st and 2nd years of fellowship)

This will allow you to review all your notes and log any CRRT and PD that you managed.

Remember, CRRT and PD can be logged as a new procedure each day that it is performed on the same patient. It is a very tedious process to log your procedures retroactively this way, and of course it does not capture your VA or outpatient procedures (such as PD patient in home clinic). So, it is best to just keep on top of your procedures from the start.
