Welcome to GI Journal Club for 2012-2013. In general, the format will be similar to last year. We will have assigned faculty for each of the topic areas who will available to help select and review articles. Sometimes, faculty will also present papers. Our goal will be to review 3-4 papers each journal club. Please do send me your paper with Pub Med ID (PMID) number a week before you are scheduled to present. Then, a link of your paper will be provided to the group through the GI Journal Club blog.
In order to keep the website updated, I’d like each presenter to provide one brief paragraph describing key elements of your paper: main topic area and research question, study design, results, limitations, and your assessment of take home points and how your paper might change practice. This can be sent to me the day that you present. That way, we can report and share our findings with the Duke community through the blog. Thanks in advance for your participation!
