Summary: The incidence of colorectal cancer (CRC) is rising among younger adults. Greater exposure to potential lifestyle risk factors (e.g., diet, obesity, physical inactivity), particularly during early life, have been hypothesized as potential reasons. This study prospectively investigated the association of adolescent simple sugar and sugar-sweetened beverage intake with CRC precursor risk.
