Learn IT @ Lunch – Using Technology to Be Green and $ave Green

Save the date for an upcoming Learn IT @ Lunch session entitled “Using Technology to Be Green and $ave Green” presented by Casey Roe, Sustainability Outreach Coordinator, Duke Sustainability Office.

Location:  Room 218 Perkins Library

From mountaintop removal to electronic waste, learn about the environmental impact of your computer and electronics, as well as personal actions you can take immediately to reduce this impact.   We’ll also discuss the technologies you can use to benefit your environmental footprint.  The session will review the new Duke Green Workplace Certification, which includes actions related to sustainable computing.  Take what you learn home with you to save a few dollars on your next energy bill! http://sustainability.duke.edu/

Learn IT @ Lunch is designed to be an opportunity to learn about technology in a relaxed lunch environment.  Each session includes a presentation followed by Q & A.  No pre-registration is required. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis.  NOTE: Lunch is not provided. Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch.
