Sakai upgrade August 16 – check out new features

Sakai will be upgraded on Tuesday, August 16. On August 16, this service will be unavailable from midnight to 5 p.m. EDT. All existing sites and their content will be retained.

The new version includes a mobile friendly design, brand new gradebook, revamped Lessons and Tests & Quizzes tools, and more.

Collaborate with Sakai Project Sites

Need an online environment to organize, collaborate & communicate with a group? Duke students, instructors and departments can create a project site in Sakai, Duke’s learning management system. OIT Training is offering several free “Sakai Project Sites: An Introduction” seminars as part of the spring 2012 schedule to walk you through the process of setting up your project site and an overview of the tools you’ll need to get started. Duke has a variety of tools in place for web-based collaboration and publishing, and sometimes it’s hard to know which one is the best fit. In this session, the presenters will review the available tools and discuss which tool(s) are best suited for different uses.  Join us for this first Learn IT @ Lunch session of the semester!
