A reappropriation of the poem Eternity by William Blake, She, Who Binds To Herself a Joy is an expanded cinema survey of memorials and monuments in the state of Washington. From the decommissioned Hanford Nuclear site where pivotal aspects of the Manhattan Project took place, to a mausoleum often described as a ‘Masonic Landmark,’ this installation explores how we negotiate shared memory through embodied visual experiences.
