Katie Duncker
Co-President

Katie is a first year biomedical engineering PhD student in Dr. Lingchong You’s lab. She studies synthetic gene circuits to control bacteria to produce useful molecules on demand. In her free time, she also likes hiking, watching the latest Netflix series and exploring new places with friends and family.

Felicia Lim
Co-President

Felicia is a fourth-year PhD student looking into the effect of female hormones on tumour immunity in McDonnell Lab. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and hiking.

Abbey Jackson
Treasurer

Abbey is a fifth year PhD student in the Department of Chemistry. She works on developing antibacterial prodrugs in the Franz Lab. In her free time, she plays violin, crochets, and snuggles with her two cats.

Gabi Koknat
Social Media Chair

Gabi is a first-year Ph.D student in the Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science Department. She works on understanding doping pathways of perovskite structures for energy applications. While not in the lab, she enjoys listening to live music, cooking, and hiking around North Carolina.

Isabel Kenny
Communications Director

Isabel is a third-year PhD student in the University Program of Genetics and Genomics, studying the role of mitochondria during cell invasion of basement membranes in the Sherwood lab. Isabel obtained her BS at UNC – Chapel Hill in 2015. She enjoys running, making art, and exploring Durham in her spare time.

Dr. Jennifer Ingram
Faculty Advisor

Dr. Ingram is an Assistant Research Professor at Duke University in the Duke Asthma, Allergy, and Airway Center. Her work focuses on understanding the molecular pathways that lead to airway remodeling in asthma. She grew up in Princeton, North Carolina and she earned her B.S. and Ph.D. from North Carolina State University.
