Research Computing is hosting an Open Science Grid Event (Oct. 27-29). The Open Science Grid (OSG) is a national scale distributed infrastructure for scientific computing. The OSG Connect service provides easy access to the resources that OSG provides.

Six 3 hour sessions will be held over the 3 days (topics: The Unix Shell, Version Control with Git, Python Programming I, Python Programming II, Basics of High Throughput Computing and Large Scale High Throughput Computing) plus 1 evening Overview of Scientific Computing targeted to student researchers.
