Adding charts and graphs to a PowerPoint slideshow can help summarize a lot of information and make it easier for an audience to stay engaged with a presentation. PowerPoint is primarily a slideshow program, though, and it can be tricky either to use the built-in chart tool or to create charts in another program and pull them into PowerPoint. Think-cell, a Microsoft add-in that is freely available to members of the Duke community, provides an easy editor and a wider range of charts and features than those that come packaged in PowerPoint. This seminar will cover installation and use of the think-cell add-in for PowerPoint, demonstrating a few common and uncommon chart types that can be created quickly to spice up your presentations.
