OIT announces a major update to Warpwire, Duke’s audio video streaming service. Warpwire version 2.8 will improve podcast hosting for those that formerly used iTunes U to host podcasts. It also enables an audio only player and improved RSS feeds directed to Apple Podcasts.
In addition, Warpwire 2.8 includes these new features:
- Faster playback around the world, due to enhanced global hosting.
- Better recording. No more Flash and the ability to record your screen.
- Web-based editor including a clipping tool to trim AV clips.
Please note: Warpwire is expected to function normally during the update, however, users will not be able to upload files during the update from 8 p.m. January 7 until 2 a.m. January 8. For concerns or issues contact the OIT service desk at oit.duke.edu/help.
