The mailing list it-alerts @ duke.edu, which is used to announce OIT IT alerts, will cease operation on August 1, 2016. On that date OIT will leverage a new vendor-hosted IT Alert system, status.oit.duke.edu.

In order to continue to receive IT alerts please visit status.oit.duke.edu to subscribe to the new service. On that site there is a “How Do I Manage My Subscriptions” link that provides additional subscription information.

The new system will enable opt-in notifications for any or all OIT service areas. It also offers enhanced notification preferences including email, SMS, Twitter, and RSS. You can continue to view IT alerts by visiting the OIT web site or status.oit.duke.edu.
