Fay-Wei passed his prelims with flying colors (from red to blue … and everything in-between!). His committee (Pryer, Meng Chen, Sönke Johnson, Corbin Jones, Sarah Mathews) was wowed by his defense of ” Seeing the light: the origin and evolution of a chimeric phororeceptor“.
