Understanding Trauma
#Comfort
An educational event organized by Sydney Aquilina.
Tuesday, April 3
7:30 PM
Pegram Common Room
With 68% of individuals experiencing trauma before the age of 16, trauma in some shape or form affects us all, permeating our relationships and communities whether we realize it or not. Come to the Pegram common room on April 3rd at 7:30 p.m to show your support in addressing this concern and learn more about both trauma and what it means to be Trauma-Informed! There will be a presentation to begin, followed by a discussion in which personal experiences, insights, and ideas will all be welcomed. The hope is to bring about a realization of the presence of trauma, a recognition of its affects, and a response to this realization and recognition, particularly as it applies to Duke’s campus. No need to bring anything but yourself, food will be provided!
The event is free and accessible. For specific accommodations requests, please contact sydney [dot] aquilina [at] duke [dot] edu.
