Tom joined Barnhill in 2013 as a Special Projects Manager in the Information Technology Department where he led efforts in selecting and implementing enterprise resource planning software, applicant and employee onboarding software, and employee communications software as well as a myriad of business analysis applications. In 2020, he was named Vice President of Information Systems, with responsibility for all aspects of integrating and supporting technology across the company. His outstanding interpersonal skills and unique ability to understand business challenges make him an integral part of our Barnhill team. With these qualities paired with his leadership skills, Tom was tapped to transition to Vice President of Human Resources, Safety and Communications a year later in 2021. He believes that our employees are the fiber of our organization and strives to preserve Barnhill’s legacy as a family-values company. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics.
