Michael R. Williams is a native of Halifax County, attended the University of North Carolina–Greensboro receiving undergraduate studies degree in Business Administration. In 1998, Mr. Williams was hired by the Upper Coastal Plain Council of Government (UCPCOG) as the Workforce Development Monitor and in 2010 matriculated to Director for the Turning Point Workforce Development Board/UCPCOG providing oversight of the regional workforce development system serving Edgecombe, Halifax, Nash, Northampton and Wilson Counties.
