L. Lee Isley, Ph.D., FACHE, is the President and CEO of UNC Health Nash in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, a position he has held since April 2018. With over 30 years in healthcare, he is committed to improving rural health systems and has a proven track record of enhancing care quality, financial stability, and operational efficiency. Prior to his role at UNC Nash, Isley served as CEO of Granville Health System in Oxford, NC, for nearly 12 years. His career began as a paramedic, and he quickly advanced through leadership roles at WestCare Health System and Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. Isley, a veteran of the Army and an Eagle Scout, is also a Paul Harris Fellow and a 2016 Regent’s Award recipient from the American College of Healthcare Executives. He holds degrees from Western Carolina University, Elon University, and the University of Tennessee. Isley and his wife, Melissa, have four children.
