Andressia Ramirez | Litigation Paralegal and Community Educator - North Carolina Justice Center

Andressia Ramirez is a Mexican American activist, policy advocate, and community leader from Wilson, North Carolina. The daughter of immigrant parents from Querétaro, Mexico, she experienced firsthand the challenges faced by immigrant families, fueling her commitment to advocacy. Through her work with the NC Justice Center, she supports undocumented and lowincome individuals, enhancing access to resources and raising awareness of workers’ rights. In 2022, she represented Mexico as a youth delegate at the United Nations General Assembly, advocating for migrant rights on a global stage.
For the past two years, she has engaged with the North Carolina General Assembly, pushing for equitable policies that uplift immigrant communities. Andressia plays a vital role in Eastern North Carolina by collaborating with various organizations to strengthen community resources and amplify the voices of underrepresented populations. As a passionate supporter of education, she ran for the Wilson County Board of Education in 2024 to advocate for student success and
continues to work toward ensuring that all students have access to opportunities.
