Mark Edwards, Vice President / COO | NCEast Alliance

Mark is a partner in the law firm of Fields & Cooper, PLLC, where he practices in the areas of elder law, guardianships, estate planning, and estate administration. He is a Board Certified Specialist in Elder Law by the NC State Bar. Mark received undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University in 1994 and his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1997. Mark and his wife, Rev. Elizabeth Edwards, reside in Nashville with their two sons. He is an ordained deacon and an active member of Lakeside Baptist
Church in Rocky Mount, NC.
He is a past Board member of The Biblical Recorder, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of North Carolina (serving as Moderator in 2000-2001), Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (national) and Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty in Washington, DC, which advocates for the separation of church and state. Locally, Mark is a past Board member of the Nashville Business Council, Nashville Chamber of Commerce, Spring Hope Area Chamber of Commerce, and Tri-County Industries, Inc. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of the Tar River Region. Since 2009 Mark has served as the Chair of the Nash County Republican Party. He currently serves as the Chair of the Rules Committee for the North Carolina Republican Party. In 2023 Mark was inducted into the North Carolina Republican Party Hall of Fame.
