Presentation at Association of STEMM Pathway and Bridge Programs 2024 Conference

The Center for Pathway Programs has partnered with ASPBP since its early days as a special interest group of the AAMC. As a standalone organization, the Association of STEMM Pathway and Bridge Programs has grown to include representatives of hundreds of pathway programs across the United States, with regional committees that convene to share resources for program improvement.

Center co-director Amber Richardson currently serves as the Southern Regional Representative for ASPBP. In this role, she convenes the region for collaborative problem-solving sessions and acts as a liaison between the region and the larger organization.

On October 3rd, Amber Richardson and co-director Dr. Charles Muiruri will facilitate a roundtable entitled “Institutionalizing Pathway Programs: Strategies for Gaining Institutional Buy-In.” This collaborative session will crowdsource solutions to gain the support of deans, department heads, and other decision-makers, which is critical to ensuring the sustainability of these essential career-advancing initiatives. The Center invites our Duke colleagues to join us for this conversation.

ASPBP membership is required to register for the conference. Membership provides invaluable access to a network of peers, resources, and expertise, empowering you to enhance and sustain impactful STEMM pathway programs. We encourage you to consider a $175 institutional membership that covers four individuals. Contact Amber for help identifying additional pathway program administrators to share the benefits and cost of your membership.
