Start with the Site Map, which is a general outline of all the materials from Project Bright IDEA, K-2, Wired for Learning and Nurturing for a Bright Tomorrow. The site includes Major Headings: About the Programs, News, Research, Resources, Parents and Site Map. Subheadings include an Implementation Guide and Training Resources for Administrators who serve public or private educational settings. The Web is designed for Teachers, Parents, Administrators, Researchers and the General Public.
Curriculum Units were developed by Teachers and Curriculum Directors who were trained by National Experts, based on the latest research on Curriculum, State Standards, Key Concepts and Advanced Instructional Strategies. A Fiction or Nonfiction Book was chosen as a centerpiece for each unit, based on Objectives and Key Concepts from the NC State Standards. There are numerous units for K-12 students written over the course of the three research studies.
It is my hope that Public and Private School Districts, Charter Schools, Homeschools, Colleges of Education and the General Public will take advantage of these free research-based resources. All of the research and resources were developed under two grants funded by the US Department of Education with additional funds from the Exceptional Children Division, NCDPI, Participating School Districts and Duke University, (AAGC, Bass).
