Qiuyi graduated from the nursing program of Huai Ying Medical College in 1980. She worked as a registered nurse for the next 15 years. When she came to the US in 2001, she started her career as a research technician in Dr. Matsunami’s lab at Duke University studying chemosensation. She became a member of the Sherwood lab in 2007, where she works as a lab manager with a focus on worm molecular biology and large scale screening efforts. Qiuyi is also a marvelous cook and enjoys traveling.
