COVID-19 Community Resource Directory

With the COVID-19 pandemic, community-based organizations that support the basic needs of Durham residents may have adjusted their operations. Some services have closed, some may operate fully remote, and new initiatives have been launched. However, there was no central location to keep track of these changes. In response, our multi-sector team created a “one stop shop” directory (tinyurl.com/ducovid19resources) for Durham residents to find up-to-date information on resources. We have partnered with groups across the Durham Community to merge different resource lists into one, comprehensive directory, with a Spanish version and a older adults-specific version.

Health and Social Services Included

How does it work?

The document provides information on resources, including their name, purpose, eligibility requirements, status during COVID-19, website links, contact information, language information, accessibility, location, and hours of operation. Note that this guide does not aim to promote any certain organization, but rather serve as an information hub.

Information about resources is updated weekly by a team of hard-working volunteers. Our volunteers call organizations and check their websites and social media for updates. While this document encompasses many services available, not all may be included. New resources may be added continuously.

Who We Are

What's Next?

We are in the process of converting our spreadsheet into a new, more-user friendly website in partnership with NCCOVIDSupport, a project initiated through the Code for Chapel Hill organization. We anticipate that this website will go live at the end of June 2020.

This resource directory is a temporary intermediate for Durham County, as we hope that this work will help inform and transition into local efforts to adopt NCCARE360
