ABSTRACT: In this talk, I will explain my recent attempt on the construction of manifolds with nodal singularities along circles using twisted connected sum method. It turns out that the obstruction space is infinite dimensional.

TITLE: Classification of gravitational instantons

ABSTRACT: A gravitational instanton is a noncompact complete hyperkähler 4-manifold with faster than quadratic curvature decay. In this talk, I will discuss the classification of gravitational instantons. This is a joint work with Xiuxiong Chen.

TITLE: Rate of asymptotic convergence near isolated singularity of a G₂ manifold

ABSTRACT: In this talk, a metric with holonomy contained in and slow rate of convergence to the cone metric is constructed on a ball inside the cone over the flag manifold.
