About

The Moxie Project is a civic engagement experience at Duke University that combines academic, professional and applied learning experiences to foster social justice leadership in undergraduates. The goals of the program are 1) To draw connections between history and the current status of women 2) To provide students with an opportunity to observe and practice feminist social change from within an organization and within a broader social movement 3) To develop students’ agency DSCF0793and self-efficacy through curricular and co-curricular activities 4) To connect undergraduates with a wide array of women leaders in government agencies and women’s organizations. Upon completion of this program, students will understand how their leadership efforts fit into a long history of women’s activism and emerge with confidence to become a part of that history.  The Moxie Project is supported by DukeEngage.
