About Me

Hello world, welcome to my page! My name is Shuxiang Cui, and I go by Mike. I am currently a first-year M.S. student in the Mechanical Engineering and Material Science Department at Duke University, and I earned my B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering at Pennsylvania State University in 2022.

I am highly interested in robotic fields, including human-robot interaction, perception, and machine learning. Along with my curiosity about novel things, I am always fully committed to learning new knowledge as well as consolidating technical skills to help me and my team tackle the challenges.

Current Project

At present, I work as a computer vision programmer in DiffDrive Robot project, which is instructed by Dr. George Delagrammatikas.

The goal of my part of the project is to achieve maze exploration using line tracking and maze mapping. Click here for more details.

Previous Work

For 2022 Spring, I worked with Dr. Bo Cheng from BioRob-InFL lab at Pennsylvania State University to develop an interactive children’s robotic fish for exhibition at Discovery Space.

The goal of this project is to enable K-6 children to program their own robotic fish to compete with one another through a simple user interface.
