Study Away Transcripts

Duke Students

Duke students who attend Duke-Approved programs must ensure that their study away program sends an official transcript, complete with grades, to GEO as soon as it is available. Transcripts should be sent electronically to GEOTranscripts@duke.edu.  If electronic transcripts are unavailable, they can be sent by regular mail to:

Global Education Office for Undergraduates
Box 90057, 114 S. Buchanan Blvd.,
Smith Warehouse, Bay 6, 2nd Floor,
Durham, NC 27708-0057

Do not request it be sent directly to the Registrar’s Office.  Once the transcript has been received, it is the student’s responsibility to respond promptly to all follow-up requests from GEO to reconcile their transfer credit. Graduation dates may need adjustment if study away transcripts are not received and credit transfers are not completed by specified graduation deadlines. by specified graduation deadlines.

Non-Duke Students

Non-Duke students should request a copy of their study away transcript via the Duke University Registrar at the completion of the program. All non-Duke students studying on Duke-In programs pay a $120 one-time, lifetime transcript fee, so no further payment is needed. Transcript request forms and additional information are available on the Registrar’s website. Non-Duke students earning transfer credit on hybrid Duke-In programs will be provided supplemental documentation of graded credit with earned grades.

Transcripts will not be sent automatically by any Duke-In program to the Non-Duke student’s home institution. Only the student can request that the transcript is sent by following the instructions on the Duke Registrar’s website.
