Semester Programs Only
Any Duke student who plans to:
- remain with the same study away program for an additional semester, or
- switch to a different program for an additional semester of study away,
needs to complete and submit the following:
- Notification of Extension of Study Away form (Link available at https://globaled.duke.edu/about/forms), and
- Participation Agreement signed by both the student and their legal guardian. (Follow the Participation Agreement Protocols outlined here)
- Updated Duke Travel Registry https://travel.duke.edu/registry/
Prior to making a final decision to extend their time abroad, students should contact their academic dean and the director of undergraduate studies (DUS) for their major to discuss their plans to ensure that they will be able to complete all degree requirements on time.
