Your Fuqua on Board engagement runs during one calendar year, with you serving on your nonprofit board January-December. The application window for nonprofit partners takes place over the summer and student fellows application takes place over the fall to lead up to that January start. The calendar generally follows this cycle:

| September | Student application open for 1-2 weeks. |
| October | Interview and selection process. |
| November | Nonprofit/Student Fellow matching decisions announced. Student orientation session (1 hour). |
| December | Nonprofits asked to provide orientation materials. Students asked to schedule an introductory meeting with Board Mentors/Key Staff. |
| January | Student Fellows attend first workshop, begin attending board and/or committee meetings with their nonprofit, and scope their project. |
| January - December | Students continue attending training sessions at Fuqua, attending regular board and committee meetings, and work on their project. (Students will conduct internship over the summer and may not be able to engage during that time) |
| November/December | Presentation to peers and close-out board service with your nonprofit |
