March 4, 2020: co-hosted an event on fat stigma in healthcare with Student National Medical Association, the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association, Duke Med for Social Justice, the Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity, and the Graduate and Professional Student Council.
December 14, 2019: Pride Pizza Pre-game — had pizza at Pie Pushers before going to the drag show at Pinhook
December 12, 2019: DukeMed Pride hosted a workshop for first year medical and physical therapy students on serving sexual and gender minority (SGM) patients. The workshop includes review of identities and definitions, building and practicing communication skills, talking with several experienced providers, and discussing resources at Duke and in Durham for LGBTQIA+ folks.
September 28, 2019: Attended the Durham Pride Parade and marched with the Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity
August 17, 2019: Pride Pool Party at Unscripted Hotel to kick off the new academic year!
August 15, 2019: Pronoun Pin Pop-Up — distributed pronoun pins to the rising second years as they began rotations

May 2-4, 2019: Attended the 2019 BNGAP LGBT Health Workforce Conference in NYC
February 13, 2019: Co-hosted a Valentine’s Day Card Making Event with the Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity
December 4, 2018: Screening of the film Kiki, a 2016 documentary on the LGBTQ youth of color constituting New York’s ballroom scene. This event is the kickoff for our fall clothing drive to collect clothing donations for the LGBTQ Center of Durham’s Trans and Gender Nonconforming Clothing Closet.
November 19, 2018: DukeMed Pride hosted a workshop for MS1’s on serving LGBTQIA+ patients on the wards. The workshop includes building and practicing communication skills, talking with several experienced providers, and reviewing resources at Duke and in Durham for LGBTQIA+ folks.
September 29, 2018: Attended the Durham Pride Parade with Duke Med for Social Justice
