The Duke Health OutList project is an effort of both DukeMed Pride and the School of Medicine’s Office of Diversity & Inclusion (ODI). This list of openly LGBTQIA and ally healthcare professionals is intended to serve as a means for Duke Health students to have a resource for informal mentorship, research, and scholarship related to sexual & gender diverse health issues and education.

While this list focuses on identifying LGBTQIA individuals and allies throughout the hospital, it broadly represents the inclusive environment we hope to achieve for all unique individuals within and served by our health system. The information contained here was supplied through a voluntary survey sent to individual departments within the hospital system. Faculty, staff, and trainees’ presence on the OutList is a demonstration of their willingness to be contacted as an informal resource for other individuals within Duke Health.
