Rachel is a senior undergraduate student at the UNC Chapel Hill studying marine conservation ecology and science communication. As part of the UNC Institute of Marine Sciences field site program, she is working on a habitat restoration/resilience capstone project for the Rachel Carson Reserve and completing a senior honors thesis focused on resource user involvement in Caribbean MPAs with Dr. David Gill and Ally Aplin. She also conducts research on coral ecophysiology with the Castillo Lab in Chapel Hill.
