Ally is a second year Master of Environmental Management student specializing in coastal and marine systems as well as economics and policy & geospatial analysis. After completing her Bachelor of Science in Aquatic Biology at UC Santa Barbara, she spent time working as the lead laboratory and field research technician for the Mo’orea Coral Reef Long Term Ecological Research group. Then, she worked as a marine science educator in Eleuthera, Bahamas. For her Master’s project with the Ocean Synthesis Lab and Marine Geospatial Ecology Lab, Ally is investigating linkages between stakeholder involvement in the planning of marine protected areas (MPAs) and ecological outcomes.
